I planned this lovely couple’s wedding reception several years ago, so it was a very special occasion to help plan Sara (aka Momma Sohn on YouTube) and Sue-Joe’s adorable daughter’s first birthday party. Not to mention, I share her mother’s love for all things upscale and chic! However, since this was a kids’ party, we made sure to keep this event effortlessly elegant. It was a joyous day filled with family, friends and of course, beautiful flowers!
The focal point of the ballroom was a lovely Korean dohl table in front of a marble fireplace adorned with DIY flower boxed letters (made lovingly by her mommy to spell out Sofia’s name over the display) and a flowy ivory ruffle backdrop framed by pink geronimo balloons. The table was filled with everything from beautiful naked cakes with floral toppers to yummy cronuts! We decorated the room with delicate pink and ivory centerpieces, DIY gold glittered table numbers and handmade paper floral escort cards. Of course, we had to have a fabulous custom-made shimmery, geometric pull-string piñata for the youngsters! However, I think adorable little Sofia, in her traditional hanbok, stole the show!
